Osmo Pocket

In 2018, DJI released Osmo Pocket, the smallest 3-axis stabilized handheld camera DJI had ever designed.

For this project, I led and oversaw the production of teaser visuals, key visuals, outdoor advertising, brochures, web pages, and photography.

Teaser Visual

The center of the teaser visual uses the shape of Osmo Pocket’s camera lens as a series of windows into peoples’ lives. Each window shows a part of someone’s life: travel, music, parties, etc. Life is big, and Osmo Pocket helps you capture the best parts and make it more fun.

Countdown Posters

These countdown posters represent the three key selling points of the Osmo Pocket: it’s small, it’s stable, and it’s a handheld product. We wanted to imply we were releasing a handheld camera instead of a drone, because we’d never held a launch campaign for consumer handheld products.

Key Visual

With the key visual, we needed to highlight that Osmo Pocket is small and stable. We decided to show a hand holding Osmo Pocket in front of a circular window, so attention is drawn towards the product. You can see how small it is compared with the hand and how the camera tilts to the side to stay level.

Brochure

We also used the “window of life” concept in the brochure. Each page shows one part of the product and a part of someone’s life through the shape of Osmo Pocket's lens. One page features my cat Jeffery and the balls he plays with to show off the ActiveTrack feature.

Webpage

For the official webpage, we use a lot of video assets to show the features, illustrate how to use the product, and create a smooth user experience while scrolling down the page.

Photoshoots

This was the most fun part for me! I thought previous photoshoots were pretty stale, so I worked with my team to create a more colorful experimental style that could reflect the product's fun and friendly theme.
